Zafar*, a three-and-a-half-year-old boy, lives near the city’s largest dumping grounds. Two years ago, Vision Rescue met Zafar and his family, bringing hope to their world. Since then, they have been eagerly waiting for Zafar to turn three so that he can start his education. He was a carefree and happy child. Simple things like playing, stargazing, and exploring his neighbourhood with friends brought him happiness.

When he joined Vision Rescue’s BLC Nursery class last year, a whole new world opened up for him. He received a school bag, uniforms, and a nutritious meal each day. Throughout the year, Zafar attended BLC with a big smile. His teacher fondly remembered him for being mischievous but always eager to learn. When asked about his dreams, Zafar giggles and says, “I want to be a police officer when I grow up and catch hold of the thieves.”

Inspired by Vision Rescue’s mission, Zafar’s mother became a ‘Community Champion,’ actively participating in FGMs and encouraging her neighbours to prioritise their children’s education. Thank you for partnering with us to bring hope and transform lives through education.
