Naveen* is only four, full of curiosity and dreams. They live in a small rented house where there’s electricity, but no running water, and trips to the public toilet are part of daily life. Naveen’s father works long hours as a laborer, but his income barely covers the rent, electricity, and water bills. Despite their struggles, his mother, who only studied till Grade III, enrolled Naveen in BLC, hoping he would have better opportunities she never had.

Like all the other kids at BLC, Naveen was thrilled to receive his school starter kit. Every day, he comes home after class with his lunch tiffin, proudly showing it to his mother. “Look, I got this from school today!” he says, beaming. He loves sharing stories about his day with his mother—what he learned, the poems he recited, and the games he played with friends.

Naveen’s journey at the BLC is already making a difference. His teachers noticed, “At first, Naveen was shy and quiet, but now he participates eagerly in class.” He dreams of becoming a police officer, catching thieves, and keeping his neighbourhood safe. As his mother listens to his stories, she feels grateful. “If it weren’t for BLC, Naveen wouldn’t have had these chances,” his mother says softly. Thank you, dear donors, for opening the doors of education for Naveen.
