Samreen is a Class 7 student in a municipal school near the slum community of Kalwa. Her father is a plumber and her mother a homemaker.
Samreen attends our self-defence program for schools that admit children who’ve graduated from Vision Rescue education programs.
She loves the martial arts and wants to become either a doctor or a teacher.
At our self-defence sessions you’ve helped girls like Samreen build their self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as develop their personality through life-skills training on topics such as conflict management and communication.
You’ve also reached out to Samreen’s younger brother Suban for three years now! He completed two years in nursery and junior kindergarten at our Beacon Learning Centre inside the slum community and is currently studying in our senior kindergarten class.
He likes playing games with his friends and drawing at school! In the future, he hopes to become a policeman or a doctor like his older sister.
Samreen’s mother has also briefly attended our mehndi designing course but was unable to complete it because she had to be with her youngest child at home. She hopes to someday return and finish the course!
Thank You for reaching out to three members of this precious family! You’re changing lives every day with your diligent support!
