Little Rehmat loves being first. He’s just in junior KG, but he races to write the fastest in class and he even wants to finish his activities before anyone else! When it’s time for games, Rehmat always takes the lead, allotting roles and rules to his friends.
He loves sports and drawing, and he wants to become a doctor when he grows up.
A year ago though, Rehmat was a very different boy. He had never been to school before, and hated the thought of leaving his mother and baby sister. When he did make it to class, he was shy and barely spoke up.
With much nurture and love from his school community, Rehmat found his voice, and grew to become one of the most enthusiastic children in class. So much so that his teacher and community worker had to tell him to tone down the mischief!

Muskan is also a member of our newly launched Self Help Group for graduates from our vocational program.
The SHG is affiliated to a bank and provides the women a safe place to learn about personal finance as well as invest their profits So far, Muskan has built savings from her paper-bag making and tailoring projects with us!
