In the crowded lanes of a Mumbai slum community, lived Pramukh*, a five-year-old boy who spent his days wandering the streets. His father, a security guard, struggled to make ends meet, leaving no room for dreams. Pramukh’s parents had no government documents – no Aadhar card, no PAN card, which meant they couldn’t access basic services, including enrolling Pramukh in school.
One day, a community intern from Vision Rescue introduced Pramukh’s mother to BLC. Intrigued, she visited the Centre, and that visit changed everything. Pramukh was enrolled in Junior KG last year. He eagerly attended BLC, cherishing his teachers and friends. He even discovered a dream: to become a police officer.
Vision Rescue’s support extended beyond education by providing nutritious meals, medical check-ups, and even helping the family obtain important documents. The once-struggling family saw their lives change, their home becoming a place of health and hope. We express our gratitude to our Vision Rescue donors for helping children like Pramukh catch their dreams.
