My name is Siddharth*, and I was born with a congenital limb deformity in my legs. Due to this, I was often teased or bullied. As a result, I spent most of my life locked up within the four walls of our tiny one-room hut, which was located right in front of an open drainage canal.
My parents worked hard to provide for our family of six – my father, as a security guard and my mother, as a housemaid. Sadly, my older sister had to drop out of school at the age of 12 to help take care of my younger siblings and me. Unfortunately, I could not attend school like other children because of my condition.
After Vision Rescue’s CCC visited my family, my parents had the confidence to send me to BLC. In 2023, I was enrolled in BLC (Grade II) at the age of 9, which was a dream come true. I’m going to study hard and become an army officer. Thank you, Vision Rescue, for rescuing and helping me to learn and grow.
