“I want to be a doctor one day,” says Rayab* with a bright smile.

Rayab lives in a small rented house in a slum community with his parents and four younger siblings. His father, a painter, often struggles to find work, and the family’s finances are tight. Despite these challenges, his parents always dreamed of a better future for their children.

For Rayab, attending school was just a dream. The family’s tight finances meant education was a luxury they couldn’t afford. But everything changed when our ‘Community Champion’ met his mother. In June 2022, Rayab was enrolled in Grade I at BLC, where he received nutritious meals, healthcare, and, most importantly, an education. Though he started his education late, Rayab quickly excelled at the BLC, catching up with his peers and showing a remarkable enthusiasm for learning.

Recently, he transitioned from BLC to a formal school, a milestone his family once thought impossible. Thank you, dear Vision Rescue donors, the once quiet boy now dreams of becoming a doctor.
