All his life, Ajay has lived next to a dumpyard. He’s grown up playing with rubbish and roaming through trash. He’s spent so much time with dirt that his skin has broken out into rashes.
“He just won’t sit at home. I don’t know what to do,” said Pempa, Ajay’s mother, when she first met Vision Rescue’s community worker. “There’s no way he’ll stay in your class,” she concluded.
It’s your gifts that have enabled Ajay’s transformation. Your support gave him the medical aid needed to heal his rashes, provided him with a daily nutritious meal, gifted him all his education materials, and best of all – supported him with teachers and community workers who drew him off the streets and into a promising future.

After witnessing the way Ajay’s life changed, Pempa chose to become a ‘Community Champion’ for Vision Rescue. She now convinces other mothers and children about the power of education, and she’s mid-way through our vocational training course for mothers in mehndi herself.
