“Why is it so hard to provide for my family?” worried Azlan’s* father. With six members and the father being the sole breadwinner, they struggle financially. They live in a small kacha house near a dirty ‘nala’ (gutter). Their home is damp and smelly, especially during the rainy season. Because of their financial constraints, they couldn’t afford to send all their children to school. So, Azlan stayed at home and played with his sister.

One day, our Community Champion visited them and spoke with Azlan’s mother. In June 2023, Azlan was enrolled in BLC. His bright smile and excitement in class stood out. He loved participating in lessons and was always eager to learn more. At BLC, Azlan received a quality education, nutritious food, and regular health check-ups. He began to thrive, and for the first time, the family felt a glimmer of hope.

Azlan dreams of becoming a teacher and helping other children like him.  With gratitude, his father says, “To all the donors, thank you for changing my child’s life.” Thank you, dear donors, for your continued generosity and support.
