Four-year-old Fadi’s* life took a tragic turn when his father, an alcoholic, died suddenly. His illiterate mother, struggling to make ends meet, became the family’s sole breadwinner, working as a maid for a meagre income. Fadi’s older brother and sister dropped out of school to support the family. During a Vision Rescue outreach program, Fadi’s family met a champion who introduced them to BLC. In 2023, Fadi was enrolled in BLC, receiving all the necessary educational materials: a tiffin, bag, sandals, uniform, and raincoat.

Our CCC encouraged Fadi’s sister, who bravely resumed her 10th-grade studies while juggling household responsibilities. However, accessing the widow pension scheme proved challenging for Fadi’s mother without her husband’s death certificate. With the support of our CCC, Fadi’s mother began the process of obtaining the certificate. She also enrolled in our vocational paper bag making course to supplement her income.

With every hurdle, they found a way forward. Fadi’s siblings, once burdened by responsibility, now carried the torch of possibility. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Vision Rescue donors. Your generous support has given hope to Fadi’s mother and her family.
