22 Volunteers X 4 Days = 811 Children admitted into education! That’s the power of volunteers!
Can you read and write? You’re blessed. Hundreds of parents in the slum communities of Mumbai can neither read nor write, and because of this, they can’t fill in the admission forms for their children entering the new academic year.
Enter MISSION ADMISSION!! The Movement India’s yearly program where our army of volunteers, fills in admission forms for hundreds of parents in slum communities that are served by Vision Rescue.
This year, we had a team of 22 volunteers from ICFAI Business School, Valia CL College of Commerce and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) serving in 4 slum communities for 4 days!
Under the hot summer sun, they filled in the admission forms of 811 children entering NGO Vision Rescue’s Beacon Learning Centres.
It’s the kindness of our incredible volunteers that have flung open the doors of education for these precious children. Thank you dear volunteers!
