🎉You’re looking at our LARGEST MEDICAL CAMP to date!! Thanks to the invaluable support of 30+ doctors from FIVE departments at Sion Hospital, our medical team was able to screen over 3500 students from Marathi, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu & English medium schools at Cheeta Camp BMC School & Shivaji Nagar BMC School from 6th to 16th this month.
🩺Over 500 different cases needing additional aid were found among these students, and they are now being referred to Sion Hospital for further processes.
🧑⚕️SPECIAL THANKS to the 10 volunteers from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, HBT Medical College, & KJ Somaiya Medical College, who assisted the doctors to ensure quick and effective screening!
❣️Our School Support Team has worked tirelessly to partner with and support the municipal schools near our target slum communities. Offering medical camps like this one, and the dental camps completed earlier in the academic year, are our way of ensuring that poor health doesn’t come in the way of students’ education!
